Work at Okidoky
There are no open positions right now — Okidoky is still a sole proprietorship (see /about). If that changes, we'd love to hear from talented people who want to contribute.
No open positions
We're not actively looking for new team members right now. But that doesn't mean we don't want to receive your application! We love to stay in touch with talented people who are passionate about fintech, design or development.
Send us an open application and tell us why you want to work at Okidoky. We keep all applications on file and will reach out when a suitable role becomes available.
Our values
At Okidoky we work according to these core values
Passion for finance
We believe everyone should have control over their finances.
Innovation
We look for smart solutions and think outside the box.
Listening to users
User feedback drives the roadmap. If someone flags something that can genuinely improve, it lands on the list.
Results-driven
We focus on impact and measure what matters.
Our work culture in 5 points
No office hours, no long meetings, but clear output. Here's what we run on.
Remote-first, fully
No physical office. Everyone works from home, a café or wherever fits. We only meet in person when a task truly requires it.
Async as default
We write more than we talk. Discussions in documents, no spontaneous video calls. You get a calm work week with focus time.
Maximum 2 meetings per week
One weekly sync (30 min), optionally a work session for complex topics. The rest of your time you're building, not catching up.
Git as single source of truth
Code, decisions, documentation — everything in version control. We have no Confluence, no Notion, no loss of context.
Ship, no quarterly OKRs
We promise no OKR ceremony. Features ship when they're done, not when the sprint ends. See /roadmap for how that looks in practice.

Make an impact
What makes someone a good match?
Specific skills come and go. Mindset stays. Here are 4 traits that are non-negotiable to us.
Thorough in details
You see when an interaction or code path doesn't feel right, even when others miss it. If it needs to be good, it needs to actually be good.
Writing-skilled
You explain in 3 paragraphs what others need an hour's meeting for. Documentation, commit messages, PR descriptions — our lingua franca.
Team player without ego
You take feedback, give feedback without drama, and acknowledge when your solution turned out not to be the best. No silos, no heroics.
Self-directed
You don't need a manager to determine each day's priority. You look at what the user actually needs and act.
No experience? No problem.
We have no fixed seniority requirements. Juniors with the above traits are equally welcome as seniors. Show in your application how you think — not just what you've done.
What happens after you click 'submit'?
We believe in transparency about the selection process. Here are the 5 steps, with expected times per step.
Receipt confirmation
< 24 hoursWithin 1 business day you get an email that we received your message. No black hole — if you hear nothing, email info@okidoky.nl.
We read your application
< 5 business daysPersonally, not via ATS filters or AI. We look at motivation, how you write and what you've done — in that order.
First call (introduction)
Week 1-2If there's a match, we schedule a ~45 min video call. Mainly introduction, no trick questions. You also ask us things.
Call with the founder + small assignment
Week 2-3A technical or design assignment of max 3 hours, paid. We discuss the result together. No live whiteboarding, no trick questions.
Decision + offer
Week 3-4Positive or negative — you hear within a week after the last call, including concrete feedback. If positive, you get a written proposal.
Total process: about 3-4 weeks from application to offer. If we're delaying, we let you know explicitly — no ghosting.
